We have been slowly updating our bedroom and, for once, we needed a dresser for ourselves. We are leaning in to the dark and moody trend for this room.

This had been sitting in our garage for ages (Thanks to Mark & Abby for thinking of us!) and we finally found the perfect use for it.

The integrity of this piece was unbelievable. Wood, super solid and in fantastic shape. This is the first one in awhile we haven't had to repair (thank goodness 😅).

I had a friend reach out and ask if I would make a sign for the powder room that she and her hubby are refinishing. She sent over a photo of the vibe she was going for--a modern & vibrant floral aesthetic.

Finding bright floral crafting flowers proved to be a much more difficult task than expected 😆 and required a little creative detour, but it finally came together in the end 💜

This cabinet handed us some unique challenges and took much longer than expected, but it was totally worth it.

The only direction we were given was that the room colors were black, white, gold & grey. When we installed the lighting we intended to only use the white or amber light, but were surprised to find it was kind of a vibe with the colored lights on too. I hope our clients love it!

She's finally complete! 😍

This cabinet was a custom piece for a friend. The only request was that we incorporate black-the rest was up to us. I know she has a wonderfully dark aesthetic, but I wanted to be sure she'd love it, so I spent some time studying her Pinterest boards to get a good feel for her taste. I concluded that along with rich, moody tones, she also combines feminine touches with a careful eclectic mix of contemporary, gothic, maximalist & traditional design styles.

After fixing the cabinet and making it all structurally sound, we began by painting a black base. We sanded the doors down to the bare wood to give it some warmth, and switched out the hardware for modern black pulls. We added lighting for a touch of elegance & hung the floral wallpaper to pull everything together. This project handed us some unique challenges, but the end result was so worth it!

Our newest artwork is finally complete!

Each piece of pine was ripped down, hand-cut & painted or stained. They were artfully (and painstakingly I might add 🤣) placed to create the modern, sleek design.

Each piece is 12"W x 24"H. When placed 2 inches apart, the entire piece spans 40" in width.

She's finally complete!

This contemporary art piece is made up of 465 hand-cut angled blocks of pine. Each individual piece has been wood burned, and select blocks have been painted just lightly enough to allow the natural grain to emerge.This is a large, heavy piece that will require being hung onto studs.

This unique artwork would be a stunning showpiece in any home or business!

This piece has been inside a quaint Black Hills cabin for 40+ years ❤. Shoutout to Kimberley & Derek Sukstorf for thinking of us when they were cleaning it out!

Knowing from experience how difficult sanding wavy drawers can be, our original plan was to paint the whole thing. But when we started sanding, this incredible wood emerged and we knew we had to leave it natural. Before pic is in the comments!
