I need to take a minute and share something that many people don't realize is happening in the floral industry.

There are large online companies that spend millions of dollars making themselves look like local flower shops. Their goal is simple: intercept orders that would have gone directly to local florists, take a significant cut of the money, and then often send the order back to an actual florist to fulfill it for only a fraction of what the customer paid. It's so sleazy and hurts businesses who employ less than 10 people. Like stealing candy from a child!

The shocking part? Many of these companies never design an arrangement, never deliver a flower, and never interact with a customer face-to-face. They are simply middlemen collecting fees.

The latest example we've encountered is a company called FLOWERSHOPPING.COM. They are currently using the Appleblossoms name in Google advertising, which can make it appear as though they are affiliated with us. They are not.

To be absolutely clear: Flowershopping.com has no connection whatsoever to Appleblossoms Flowers, Gifts & More.

When you order flowers, please take a moment to make sure you're ordering directly from the florist you intend to support. Ordering directly helps ensure more of your money goes toward the flowers, the service, and the local business creating and delivering your arrangement—not to a third-party middleman.

Buyer beware. Support local whenever possible. ❤️🌸

Thank you Bemis Farms Nursery for your email about your great potting soil, we ran right down to get some. It was great to work with and smelled so good! Of course we added the Tina's Pixie Dust and now we can't wait to grow some roots and watch the blooms grow!

Parents, are you looking for a safe, welcoming, and productive environment for your high school student to learn great work ethics and gain real-world experience?

Our flower shop is looking for a dependable, enthusiastic high school student to join our team for a few hours a week! This is a fantastic opportunity for them to earn some extra pocket money and learn how a local business runs behind the scenes.

📅 The Details:
Days: Mondays and Saturdays
Total Hours: Looking for a total of 5 to 8 hours across both days.
Perfect For: A responsible student looking for a manageable schedule that won't interfere with schoolwork.

📋 What They’ll Be Doing:
We need a helping hand with the essential, everyday tasks that keep our shop blooming. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Stocking and organizing shop supplies 📦

Pricing products and processing inventory 🏷️

Washing buckets and keeping processing areas clean 🧽

Sweeping floors and maintaining a tidy shop ✨

Watering and caring for plants and flowers 💧
