Carol's Excellent Adventure:

I'm back in Iowa now and had hoped to write and post about my trip each day while on the road but that didn't happen! Some bad weather, including hail and tornado watches along the way, created many white-knuckled driving conditions and long, tiring days! But, I documented my stops so I can share my experiences with you!

Day 1 began with a quick drive to Savannah to pick up an item I won in an online auction before I began heading north.

I happened upon a listing for a very old wood rocker that didn't have any bids on it. I don't usually buy rocking chairs for my booths since they take up valuable real estate. But, I took pity on this old piece so I placed an opening bid on it, not expecting to win it. Well, guess what?! My bid was the only one that the chair received so I was the lucky winner🤪

The only extra space I had for it in my Jeep was in the front seat. So in the chair went, buckled in, and it became my steadfast road trip companion which I now refer to as my Rescue Rocker. 😊 My plans are to find a primitive loving soul who'll see the love and sweat that went into crafting this old piece of history.
