Sometimes the better deal isn’t the furniture with the lowest price tag.

Heather’s take—buy the best quality you can comfortably afford. A well-made sofa, dining table or bedroom piece can live in your home for years—sometimes decades—instead of being replaced every few years. And there’s a sustainability side to it, too. Furniture that lasts longer means less furniture ending up in the landfill and fewer replacements being made and shipped.

Buy it because you love it. Choose quality because you want to keep loving it.

There’s a lot that happens between “we’ll take it!” and your new furniture showing up in your living room. When you buy from us, our warehouse team unboxes and assembles your furniture, checks it over for shipping damage, and gets it ready for delivery.

No giant boxes sitting in your garage. No deciphering assembly instructions. No discovering a damaged piece halfway through putting it together.

We’ll handle all of it. You just figure out where you’re going to sit first.

Our latest arrivals are making a pretty good case for going beyond beige.

Olive green sofas, warm rust and caramel tones, patterned accent chairs, colorful upholstery and even an upholstered bed in a soft earthy green. You don’t have to fill the entire room with color, either. One statement chair, sofa or bed can be the piece you build everything else around.

Design tip: If committing to a colorful sofa feels like a lot, start with an accent chair. Pull one or two colors from its pattern into your pillows, rug, artwork or accessories and suddenly the whole room feels new.

Same chair. Two totally different personalities.

🤍 Option A: Solid ivory on the front, a coordinating pattern on the back + nailhead trim for a little extra detail.

💙 Option B: Blue dotted fabric all over, no nailheads, for a cleaner, more playful look.

This is exactly why we love custom upholstery. You’re not stuck choosing between a couple of predetermined options—you can play with fabrics, patterns, trims and details to create a chair that fits your room and your style.

So, A or B? Which Whitney Chair would you bring home. 👇

This new Eden Queen Bed is giving us all the warm, modern bedroom vibes. 🤎 The rich leather makes a statement, while the clean silhouette keeps it feeling simple and timeless.

And one of our favorite things about this room is that the bedroom furniture isn’t a matching set.

DESIGN TIP: Instead of choosing a bed, nightstands and dresser from the exact same collection, try coordinating pieces with complementary finishes, shapes or details. Here, the warm leather bed pairs beautifully with the lighter wood storage pieces—the tones relate to each other without everything looking matchy-matchy. The result feels a little more collected, a little more interesting, and a lot more like a bedroom that came together over time.

Eden Queen Bed, and everything shown in this group actually, is in stock as shown and ready for delivery. Drop by to see it and get it before anytime else.

A little less square footage can still mean a whole lot of living.

The key to downsizing is choosing furniture that fits the space and the way you want to live—comfortable seating, smart storage, beautiful pieces you love, and room to relax without feeling crowded.

Smaller home. Simpler lifestyle. Still every bit as comfortable.

A smaller home doesn't mean you have to settle for tiny furniture or give up the things that make your home comfortable. The trick is being a little more intentional about what earns a spot in the room.

Think appropriately scaled furniture, pieces that serve more than one purpose, smart storage, open walkways and fewer pieces that work harder.

Whether you're furnishing a condo, apartment, downsizing into a smaller home, or just working with one tricky little room, swipe through for a few tips worth saving. 📌

And measure, measure, measure before you shop. Bring those measurements, photos and videos into The Tin Roof and we can help you narrow down what will actually work in your space.

A little throwback to 2021 and one of the NIBCA Parade of Homes we had the opportunity to furnish and style for Rosenberger Construction LLC.

Five years later, there’s still so much to love here—warm wood, natural stone, soft neutrals, mixed textures and just enough contrast to keep everything interesting. It’s a good reminder that when you choose pieces you genuinely love instead of designing around one specific trend, a room can still feel beautiful years later.

DESIGN TIP: In an open-concept home, you don’t need every space to match. Repeat a few materials, colors or finishes from room to room—like the warm wood, black accents and creamy neutrals we used here—to create a subtle connection and help the whole home flow.

Swipe through for a little inspiration from the archives.

Sometimes the problem isn’t your furniture, it’s that you’re fighting your house.

One of the biggest design mistakes Heather sees is ignoring the architecture of the home. Before choosing a style, pay attention to what’s already there—the woodwork, ceiling, flooring, fireplace, built-ins, and overall character of the house.

You don’t have to decorate exactly to the era or architecture, but working with it instead of against it can make everything feel much more natural and pulled together.

Long story short—listen to what your house is telling you.
