Bernardo Wills Since 1991, Bernardo Wills Architects has been providing Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Land We make communities better with the following services.

There’s no better way to make communities better than providing intentional design and planning that allows counties, cities, neighborhoods, and city blocks to thrive. Architecture
Embracing our clients’ values and mission is central to our planning and design process. We tap the qualities that define their organization, creating architecture that reflects its character. Serving public and private

sector clients, we specialize in commercial, corporate, governmental, educational, healthcare, industrial, and retail architecture. Offering a complete range of planning and design services, we are highly experienced in various project delivery methods. Above all, we seek to create innovative and enduring architecture that is distinguished by its response to context, program, and culture. Interior Design
Our clients’ aspirations serve as inspiration for our interior design team in creating dynamic spaces that are as visually appealing as they are comfortable, intuitively organized, and easy to maintain. Colors, textures, lighting, furnishings, and artwork are carefully chosen to complement the architecture of the building and create an environment that supports the functions housed within. Sensitive to the client’s budget and schedule, our interior design professionals meticulously factor these criteria into the project’s programming and planning. Landscape Architecture
Harnessing the beauty and vitality of nature, our landscape architects and planners create settings that enrich the human experience. Our projects – many of which are for public entities – help define a community’s character. As such, stakeholder participation is essential to our planning process; those most vested in the final outcome inform the design with their priorities and preferences. Our designs feature artistic layouts and imaginative combinations of plantings to craft distinctive outdoor spaces that engage the senses. Land Use/Planning
Our expert planners maximize a site’s potential, generating a plan that yields the greatest utility and value to the client. Well-versed in the intricacies associated with land use/planning, they deftly translate vision into a feasible, code-compliant plan. Our team is highly skilled at working with regulatory agencies through various administrative actions. Recognizing that information and understanding are critical to buy-in, they are sensitive to the interests of all parties at public meetings and forums, building consensus with stakeholders and neighborhood groups.

Bernardo Wills is inviting our community to explore what comes next in inclusive design. Innovation is Invitation is a CEU learning experience that looks beyond minimum standards and asks bigger questions about how play can serve every body, every ability, and every story.

Led by inclusive play specialist Jill Moore of Landscape Structures, this presentation dives into real examples of communities around the world rethinking how children and families experience play. From intentional ramp play to design considerations for sensory, visual, and medical needs, this conversation centers on creating spaces where everyone is invited to belong.

Because thoughtful design has the power to change how people feel in a space. Use this link to RSVP: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScn1eVwqxMmNlP2qPXchGCNOlLCWoN6Dlx_81iAkOcKn-a-yQ/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=100912204806698707380

Thursday marked the official ribbon cutting for the newly improved marina and boat launch areas at Heyburn State Park!

Working alongside Verdis and Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, Bernardo Wills provided landscape architecture, wayfinding, branding, and site enhancement design services for the Chatcolet and Rocky Point launch areas.

From ADA access coordination and pedestrian pathways to monument signage, native planting design, and marina branding, every element was designed to help create a more welcoming and functional experience for visitors enjoying one of North Idaho’s most treasured parks.

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this project across the finish line!

Designed as part of a larger shell building, this clinic and ASC were carefully planned around how patients move through care and how providers work throughout the day. From exam rooms and procedure spaces to staff support areas and waiting rooms, every square foot was shaped by a clear understanding of workflow, comfort, and efficiency.

Located in Spokane Valley along Sprague Ave, this space supports both clinical care and surgical services within a cohesive environment that feels focused, calm, and purpose‑built. It is a reminder that well‑designed healthcare spaces quietly do their job every day, long after construction is complete.

There is something powerful about seeing your future up close.

BW is excited to be part events that place students at the center, giving them access to conversations, mentorship, and real insight into the paths ahead. Watching students share their work, exchange ideas, and celebrate each other during the evening ceremonies reminded us why these moments matter.

Thank you to the students, educators, and firms who made the day meaningful. The future of architecture is thoughtful, engaged, and already taking shape.

A headquarters designed to support collaboration, culture, and future growth.

CMI Orchards’ new headquarters at the Confluence Technology Center reimagines what a modern corporate workplace can be. Spanning the entire third floor, the design prioritizes connection across teams while providing spaces for focused work, collaboration, and everyday comfort.

From private offices and open work areas to collaboration zones, conferencing spaces, and a full kitchen break room, every element was thoughtfully designed to reflect CMI’s values and support its evolving needs. The inclusion of new restrooms, a shower room, and space planned for future expansion ensures the workplace will continue to serve the organization well over time.

This project is a reflection of how intentional design can strengthen teams and support long-term success.
