I was listening to “little drummer boy” earlier.. and this time it hit so differently. It’s always been one of my favorites just from a memory I have. I remember riding in the car with grandma and her radio never went off of J103. It came on and just listening to the peace in her voice. I can still hear it plain as day years later. today I was just listening to the lyrics .. listening to them tell the drummer boy to come with them- we are going to bring our finest gifts- and I can just see this little boy who didn’t have much, but was anxious and excited to meet our Lord and Savior. But what gift do you give a king? What gift do you give THE KING? What he brought to Jesus came from the heart. He brought worship. That’s all he wants us to do.. is be obedient, love, and whole heartedly worship him. He’s been so good to us. He gave us the gift of life! He gave us the freedom of praise! What gift will you give Him? Will you give Him your heart? Will you accept His salvation, and His promise for us to have life and have it more abundantly? Will you give Him the gift of worship? Will you give Him all of you? The little drummer boy played his drum for Him- and the song starts to end with “then He smiled at me”
