We just completed our first meeting which was all about sewing and fitting pants. Peggy inspired us all, and we are excited to fit and sew the Armani 7 Piece Pant pattern from Silhouette Patterns. Our Stitch Nation program begins Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11 am at the Spring Lake Fields Fabrics store. Not sure you are ready to join? Stitch Nation with Peggy Sagers - A Garment Sewing Education program brought to you by Fields Fabrics of Spring Lake,

We are excited to bring Stitch Nation to Fields Fabrics of Spring Lake! This private, membership based sewing education program is hosted by Peggy Sagers of PBS’s Fit 2 Stitch and Silhouette Patterns. Each month for a year, members will gather at Fields Fabrics of Spring Lake to watch an exclusive 1 hour garment sewing lesson focused on design, fit, construction and professional sewing techniques. These lessons are designed to help you build or refine your garment sewing skills in a clear and approachable format.

Monthly Viewing Times
Our monthly meet-ups will begin on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11 am in the classroom at Fields Fabrics of Spring Lake. Thereafter, our monthly meet-ups will occur on the First Monday of the Month at 11 am. (October 5, November 2, December 7, etc). This program runs September 2026 - August 2027

Did you know March is National Quilt Month? Field's Fabrics of Spring Lake is celebrating with a beautiful, in-store quilt show. We've hung over 50 quilts, table runners, wall hangings and quilt coats made by our talented customers and employees.

The show starts Monday, March 2 and runs through Tuesday, March 31.

While you're in the area, be sure to stop at the quilt shows at the Spring Lake Library and the Loutit Library in Grand Haven. Several Ottawa County libraries are also celebrating National Quilt Month.

January 2026 is a perfect time to spotlight the creative and humble Donna Duff. She has graciously loaned us several of her fabric art pieces that are displayed at Field's Fabrics in Spring Lake. Her talents have a comfortable, warm, folk art style to them. The pictures don't show the details that have been incorporated. The collection will be displayed for the month of January. Donna and the staff at the store invite you to come admire this show.
