The Social Knitwork We are located in Old Town Spring. Our focus is on our community- creating it and supporting it. Or yarn over to create and donate for local hospitals in need.

We’ve got the knit-know how to show you the ropes if you’re just starting out. If you’re a seasoned knitter/chrocheter, unwind with a knit-a-long or girls’ knit out. Let’s color the community one granny square at a time and maybe make a few friends along the way.

Sailor Slippers. I have felted many things but never anything that had to fit. I knit up one slipper as instructed to prove it and ding, ding, ding, we have a winner! Casting on 2nd slipper now. I used Noro Kureyon for the body and Cascade 220 for the sole. I held 2 strands together to get guage.... YES! I checked guage. 🤨 These slippers are quick and fun!

My first of 2 Sailor Slippers and I used something new today.... I was getting ready to seam top of slipper to sole. Edges were rolling and I needed everything to lay flat and line things up. Bobbi pins, yup, I used bobbie pins! Anyone else making the Sailor slippers?
