Make this unforgettable Sweet Potato Casserole on your Napoleon grill from Maschino's, for a cozy fall meal!

Ingredients

Sweet Potato Base:
4 lb sweet potato (3 large, peeled/washed)
3 tbsp maple syrup
½ cup browned butter divided
¼ cup creme fraiche, or whipping cream
2 large egg yolks
1 tsp alcohol (vanilla, vodka, rum, bourbon)
Salt to taste

Casserole Topping:
1 cup pecans
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup flour
Cinnamon + nutmeg to taste
Mini marshmallows

Method

1. Make the sweet potato base: Place the sweet potatoes into a pot of water and boil them for 15
minutes, or until soft. Drain the water and place the sweet potatoes back into the pot to steam off
excess water for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
2. In a large bowl, add the sweet potato, maple syrup, ¼ cup of browned butter, crème fraiche, yolks, and your chosen alcohol. Season to taste with salt then mash. Spread the mashed sweet potatoes into a buttered 9x13 casserole dish.
3. Preheat your Napoleon grill to 325°F using the rear or bottom burners for indirect heat.
4. Make the casserole topping: While your grill is preheating, combine your chopped nuts, brown sugar, flour, seasonings, and marshmallows in a bowl. Crumble them over the top of your sweet potatoes.
5. Cook using indirect heat for 45 minutes, turning the casserole occasionally to ensure even browning.
