I am so thankful for very kind and thoughtful customers, friends and friends who are my family. Without saying a lot we have a family member who is in hospice and in the active stages of passing. As a family we are being there for each other through the good, bad, and the ugly. I am so thankful for kind and thoughtful customers who are patient during this time while we are starting the grieving process.
Again this is a message to those who are very understanding during this difficult time.

Before and after.
So my focus for this post is this base of this floor lamp. It was a huge problem, because the base wasn't heavy enough and top heavy. I found a lamp at the Habitat Springfield Restore that had a heavy square weight and fixed the falling issue, but the rest of the lamp was brass and this base was cast metal, and the details needed to shine, so I did a faux brass finish. Got to love the skills my late mother taught me how to do things like this and love to believe she is still guiding me in spirit.

Our home is not your traditional home and I don't care if people think it's weird. I love my weird maximalist home.

Can you spot the difference?
These two vintage milk glass hobnail (fenton style) table lamps needed updated wiring, but some parts needed a faux aging to give it a more antique look.
Sometimes the subtle details make the difference.
