Meet the Owners ✨
We are Chrissy and Jackson Hinners and we met when we were twelve years old. Some of our earliest dates were spent painting pottery together, and if you look around the studio, you’ll still find some of those pieces on the shelves as samples. Chrissy’s family is originally from Springfield, and when our littles started to get older, we knew we wanted to get out of the Nashville hustle and slow life down a bit here in Robertson County.
When we opened The Hot Spot, our hope was simple: create a place for everyone. Every age. Every budget. Every skill level. Every friend group, family outing, celebration, and date night. Springfield deserved a place where people could gather, create, and simply be together.
If we’re honest, one of our biggest fears was that we were trying to fit our dream into a space that didn’t need us.
Boy, were we wrong.
Since opening, you’ve welcomed us with open arms. You’ve brought paper towels when we needed them, batteries when we forgot them, stickers that made us belly laugh, and stories that have made this place so much more than a business.
You’ve trusted us with birthday parties, wedding plates, memorial pieces, handprints, footprints, and memories that will last a lifetime.
At the heart of it all, we believe everyone belongs. Whether you have an art degree or are struggling with the masking tape, we’re here to cheer you on and help you find the good in your art. Some of our favorite moments aren’t seeing the finished piece. They’re watching the laughter, conversations, and memories happen along the way.
Thank you, Springfield, for sharing life with us.
The Hot Spot isn’t just a pottery studio.
It’s family. ❤️
And if these first few weeks are any indication, we’re going to need a lot more shelves. 😉
We’re just getting started.
