Good Afternoon South Shore Friends, Neighbors & Residents, while we all want to enjoy this Labor Day weekend at the Lake, keep in mind that in the event of an Emergency the South Shore Fire Department members need to be able to maneuver the streets safely. The Fire Department members not only respond in Ambulances and Fire Trucks, many of our Medical First Responders respond in their private vehicles that have flashing lights in or on them. Please be aware of your surrounds, if you see any vehicle (Emergency or not) please move off the road as quickly as possible. Keep the edges of the roadway clear of obstacles. Golf Carts especially if driven by youngsters do not always hear vehicles approaching-please keep to the side of the road at all times. We know you love your fur babies as much as we do, however keep your pet out of the road and on a leash, emergency vehicles cannot stop or swerve fast enough to avoid hitting them!

What a wonderful time everyone had at this year’s Annual Pancake Breakfast! We are truly blessed to have such a GREAT community that is always willing to come together and support our South Shore Fire Department.

A very special Thank You to our generous local businesses who donated gift items for our raffle. Your kindness and support mean so much to us and helped make this event such a success!
