This kitchen was all about creating a space that felt open, light and easy to live in — with generous cabinetry, an expansive peninsula for seating and prep, and a layout that connects naturally to the casual dining area.

The crisp white cabinetry keeps the room feeling fresh, while the warm wood floors and subtle brass details add just enough warmth.

A good kitchen isn’t only about how it photographs. It’s about how comfortably everything works together once you live in it.

A closer look at the details behind this St. Louis primary bathroom design.

Our client came to us with a very clear vision for how she wanted the room to feel. Our role was to make that vision work beautifully within the space — from the overall layout down to the details that make everyday routines easier.

The shower and freestanding tub were brought together into one defined wet area, creating a more open and intentional layout.

At the vanity, custom cabinetry adds function without visual clutter, including concealed storage and power for hair tools so everything has a place when it isn’t being used.

That balance is always the goal: a bathroom that feels beautiful, but is thoughtfully designed around the way it will actually be used.

This client came to us with a clear vision for an organic luxury bathroom, and our job was to figure out how to make it all work beautifully within the space they had.

We developed the layout around everything they wanted to include, working through the proportions, placement and details to bring their vision to life without compromising how the room needed to function.

The result is a warm, spa-like, St. Louis bathroom design, that feels personal, considered and completely true to what the client envisioned.

Sometimes the best design isn’t about imposing a new idea—it’s about listening carefully, solving the space, and finding a way to give the client what they’ve been imagining.

One of the biggest misconceptions about remodeling is that you need to move walls to dramatically improve a kitchen.

Often, the biggest improvements come from making better layout decisions.

In this concept, I kept the same footprint but improved the workflow by relocating the cooking area, creating a cleaner island, and maximizing storage.

Gold & Co. Kitchen & Bath is a design-first kitchen-and-bath studio with a new showroom coming soon to Wi******er, MO.

After years of designing kitchens and bathrooms through NG Living, I’m excited to introduce the next chapter of the business.

The new name better reflects what we do today: kitchen and bathroom design, cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware and coordinated finish selections.

The showroom is currently being developed, and I’m looking forward to sharing the process as it comes together.

The name is changing, but the commitment to thoughtful design, clear guidance and carefully selected materials remains the same.

Most kitchens look good…
until you actually try to use them.

This is why.

A cabinet with a door vs. a stack of drawers.

On paper, they both “store things.”
In real life? Not even close.

Cabinets turn into black holes.
You stack. You dig. You forget what’s in the back.

Drawers fix that.

Everything pulls out.
Everything is visible.
Everything is usable.

Same footprint. Completely different experience.

This is the difference between a kitchen that looks finished…
and one that actually works every day.

I don’t design around cabinets.
I design around how you live.

Because cabinetry is just the tool —
layout is what actually changes how your kitchen functions.

Most kitchens aren’t actually small… they’re just designed backwards.

This one had a large footprint… but only about 4 sq ft of usable prep space on either side of the cooktop 😬

So even though it looked like a big kitchen, it didn’t function like one.

No real prep zones.
No landing space.
No place for people to gather without getting in the way.

➡️ After:

We added an 8 ft kitchen island with seating — and everything changed.

Now the kitchen has:
• Generous prep space
• Clear cooking + prep zones
• Functional kitchen layout that flows
• Seating that actually works for real life

Because the issue was never the size…
it was the layout.

This is what I do.

I take kitchens that feel frustrating, inefficient, or awkward —
and redesign them so they actually work for how you live.

Kitchen layout matters more than cabinet style. Every time.
