I’ve always believed life is built in chapters. Some chapters shape us in obvious ways. Others reveal their influence only with time.
Putting together this carousel reminded me just how much each chapter of my life has contributed to the perspective I bring to my work today. From a grandmother who nurtured my appreciation for beauty, to living abroad, studying design in New York, and eventually returning home to St. Louis, each experience has broadened the way I see the world.
Looking at the photo with my grandmother makes me smile because I can still see that curious little girl. She’s still very much a part of who I am.
She’s the one who’s always asking, “What if?”
I’ve never stopped asking that question. It’s what fuels my creativity, challenges my assumptions, and keeps every project feeling fresh and full of possibility.
