✨ Maker Spotlight: Liz! ✨

Liz has been crafting for as long as she can remember, trying everything from clay and resin to sewing, knitting, and crochet, thanks to what she lovingly calls her “ADHD crafting brain.” But crochet is the hobby that truly stuck, and she’s been consistently crocheting since 2022, especially loving amigurumi and bringing tiny characters to life. 🧶💛

Her current WIP is extra special: a handmade dress for her little sister’s wedding reception! One of her proudest projects was also a dress she made for her own bridal shower, a piece that reminded her how much she’s grown as a maker.

Her can’t-live-without tools? Ergonomic hooks, stitch counters, and row counters because there are always multiple WIPs happening at once.

Liz’s advice for fellow makers:
“Don’t wait until you feel ‘good enough’ to try something new.”

We love that reminder! 💕

✨Maker Spotlight: Josie ✨

Meet Josie, a true fiber arts enthusiast! From knitting and crochet to spinning her own cozy creations, her passion shines in everything she makes.

🧵 How it started: A childhood love for yarn, rediscovered during COVID, led her to YarnCom, where she’s been crafting, learning, and even spinning for 2 years.
👀 Current WIP: An all-over intarsia sweater with a quilt motif, colorful, challenging, and totally worth it.
🌈 Favorite yarn: Noro Sonata for its stunning colors and versatility.
🧰 Can’t live without: ChiaoGoo needles (her ride-or-die!).
🧡 Proudest project: Spinning Colorado alpaca into a hood she designed, complete with a hand-sewn wool lining.
💡Josie’s tip: Mistakes can often be fixed, don’t be afraid to “tink”!

Whether starting something new or finishing a cherished project, Josie brings creativity, care, and curiosity to every stitch. We’re lucky to have her in the YarnCom community! 🧶💛
