Been quiet lately--hubby was hospitalized for 2.5 weeks with pneumonia. He is home now and getting his strength back. I have a such empathy for all the caregivers out there and immense appreciation for the nurses and techs--you are angels on earth! With him home, I am back to sewing. I made this zippered bag as a sample--I plan to teach a class at the STL Sewing Exchange sometime this summer!

Spent a few hours at the STL Sewing Exchange today setting up our new notions display. With the loss of Joann Fabrics, we know there is a need for basic notions at reasonable prices. It was fun to use my former Target merchandising skills again!

I haven't done much sewing lately because I have been helping prep for the launch of STL Sewing Exchange a community sewing room--and I am so excited! In the past couple of weeks, we have completely repainted the "shop", built a marketing plan and over saw the move of all our fixtures and fabric to the shop! This month we will open our doors to provide beginner sewing lessons for adults and kids, great buys on fabric and notions, alterations, and a space to come and sew in community with others!
