Just a reminder that you don’t need a fancy location. You can wear what you wore to daycare that day. It can drizzle a bit, and the sun can hide away. Things don’t have to be picture perfect to get perfect pictures 💕

My favorite thing about photographing a Traditional Latin Mass wedding is that the FIRST thing that happens after walking down the aisle is the marriage rite. No readings, no Gospel, just the bride and groom vowing their commitment to each other and BAM💥 married. Then the couple gets to celebrate the entire Mass together for the first time as a married bride and groom.

It was so perfect for Ariel and Ryan’s wedding day because it exactly represented their priorities: Sacrament first, then everything else. They didn’t want to waste any time on such a special day, so after Mass, the celebration began with a bridal party “picnic” on the lawn of the church, before heading to their reception, which their hospitality made feel more like a BBQ among family. It felt so perfect, and so them: front load all the important stuff, then sit back and enjoy. And what a joy it was!! Truly so grateful to get to celebrate and capture Sacraments like these with so many amazing couples!!

P.S. Punk rock live band concerts are my new favorite way to conclude a wedding reception (in case anyone needs ideas…)

"What do we do if it rains on our wedding day?"

…Then we will get the most delightful photos of you and your new spouse celebrating in the rain!! 🌧️🤵‍♂️☂️👰‍♀️

This rainy April day is making me daydream all about Meredith and Michael’s beautiful (and a bit drizzly) wedding day last October. Meredith and Michael are the PERFECT couple to work with— so in love, prioritizing the important stuff, and just really REALLY fun. We became fast friends during our planning sessions, and partying during a downpour must have really solidified it because they even made time to show me around their new stomping grounds on my recent trip to LA!

It’s so easy to get distracted by everything going exactly how you envision it on your wedding day, but if you leave a little room for the Holy Spirit, He can surprise you with the beautiful things he can do (even when your wedding gown is soaking). There’s a downpour of graces to had (even in a downpour of rain 🌧️) Thank you Meredith and Michael for letting me capture your BEAUTIFUL day!!

People call a lot of days the “best day of their life.” A wedding day, the day you hold your baby for the first time, the day a dream finally comes true. And those are all beautiful!

But the Church reminds us that there is one day that quietly surpasses them all: the day of our Baptism.

The day we are claimed.
The day we are adopted.
The day we become sons and daughters of God.

Before any vocation, before any milestone, before any achievement—there was this moment when God called us His own.

Don’t let the most important day of your child’s life be one you don’t remember. Capture it! Celebrate it! Remember the day heaven claimed you. 🕊️💧✨

And that’s officially a wrap on my 2025 weddings 🎉
I just sent off my final gallery of the year, and wow—my heart is full. Revisiting some of my favorite photographs from all the Catholic weddings I shot this year and I am just… wow. I’m just so, so grateful.

I get to work with the most gracious, fun, intentional, faithful couples and it still doesn’t feel like real life that I’m living this dream. I’m endlessly grateful to you all for trusting me to step into something so sacred and document this beautiful Sacrament. Thank you 🥰
