Asking for a friend…have you ever had a real whole ticket for a flight…been on the plane…everyone deboarded…the flight canceled and your ticket changed to a new flight 2 terminals away and then the original flight gate announces for everyone to get back on the plane….that you no longer have a ticket for and long story short you end up in the air on a flight that is cancelled with a standby ticket?

Just curious.

Also when I tell you we are just scratching the surface of today’s events 😑

To the lady with a laptop In her checked luggage that you remembered after we sat for an hour on the tarmac- you’re the worst. (The flights got grounded once they finally found it)

Did The Home Depot fly me out to host me for an incredible 3 days? Yes. Am I extremely excited for the little miniature tater totes their launching in August? Most definitely. Can’t wait to show you how many cool things I found, learned about and to bring you along for the ride over the next several months. But I swear I am calling first dibs on these little nuggets.

Heart warming, gift giving, food network and drew Barrymore Story time— I’ve been at the most incredible event this wk with The Home Depot and on the first night they were giving away some sport memorabilia. I called Brandt to see what he would want bc 🤷🏼‍♀️ well the last thing I said was “a signed foot ball from kur…” and he says “THAT ONE. I’m from St. Louis, I bet no one else is. Please it has to be me” and as luck would have it - only a few people entered for that one. And we did not win. So the next day I took a pic of the winner from across the room to send/taunt Brandt and say “that’s the man with your football”.
So I just walked up to him and said “so I just took your picture to send to my husband bc his heart broke when he didn’t win the Kurt Warner football”
I’m not kidding you- he says - “YOU CAN HAVE IT. Here’s my card- send me all your info- as soon as I get it I’ll send it to you.” Oh ps turns out him and mark have their own show on the food network, their own spice line, are launching a beverage line tailored to grilling and have their own cookbook. Go follow The Grill Dads every way you can find them. And since they have been on drew barrymore I asked if she is absolutely everything we hoped she would be and the my resoundedly said a big yes! So I can’t wait to treat them to an amazing St. Louis gift basket right back when they send us that football (he offered to send a few other things that I know he doesn’t remember so I truly think this is going to be the most fun thing to open).
Anyway- Fey and Mark- thank you- you were a joy. You now have multiple new fans. And you are giving my husband a gift he will cherish which is especially sweet bc it’s a lift of his spirit he absolutely needed ❤️

Accidentally took an Ambien today while getting ready for a conference that I had to be awake for. And not just awake but networking and active for 12 hours. So I took an espresso shot for the first time in my life- I do not drink coffee. This was death. Anyway I stayed awake today.

I was just in a showroom - and I have no idea what these solid marble corbels would cost but I hugged them.

The last couple wks has been ALOT. We have had several team members down with illness, Brandt is working about 90 hrs a wk and I’ve been to the hospital with wink FOUR times. Plus HOME DEPOT is flying me out to meet with them today. Despite everything going on- Brandt encouraged me to go and I have a village checking on wink and taking care of her for us ❤️ thank you Megan, Mariah, Dany and Amanda!
I made her a blanket and pillow fort and she’s not her normal cheery self but she’s comfy
