I hate to pass up any opportunity for a show but the weather is much colder than I expected and even with two heaters (and a fire extinguisher!) for the booth and the plan to wear all of my clothes I’m hesitate to think I’m tough enough to spend those hours in the cold so, regretfully, will not be doing the show tomorrow. Want to send warm wishes to the other outdoor vendors and am really thinking about going over as a shopper myself tomorrow! They have an amazing variety of artisans and while working myself I never take the tine to really look around! In the meantime, I’m back to cutting tubing for some variations on some draft pendant piece that didn’t turn out quite as well as I thought and having some hot chocolate! Keep warm everyone!

JudeeDoo will be at the Rolling Ridge Nursery Holiday Open House https://rollingridgenursery.com/ this Sunday, November 13th from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. I’ve added some new earring pictures one of which is in the shape of a teardrop made of formed sterling silver gallery wire with a small hand cut aluminum teardrop filled with purple mica, holographic glitter and resin placed inside and fully encased in resin with sterling silver ear wires; a pair of bird earrings hand cut and filed from aluminum sheet metal with a Pacific Blue mica wash surface and sterling silver ear wires; elongated teardrop earrings from hand cut copper tubing with small cut copper tubes filled with various resin and mica mixes and encased in resin on copper ear wires and a pair of my larger size fish earrings of brass hand cut and filed from brass sheet metal with an interference gold mica, sparkling glitter and resin center wash with gold filled ear wires. We will have both of our heaters running which does keep the booth warm so hope you can make it outside to see us but they have various fabulous vendors inside too!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! JudeeDoo is doing the Kirkwood Greentree Festival next Saturday and Sunday, September 17th and 18th. The bracelets and necklaces pictured here were made after I stumbled on some fine wire mesh and while I find it somewhat delicate a stopper bead bracelet using some of this mesh that I made for myself and have worn numerous times seems to be holding up just fine and I can be rough! I haven’t seen much using this product but I like my application and welcome feedback. I’d also love to see some of my regulars stop by the show as I’m getting entirely too old to keep watching Bill lug a tent, tables, chairs, weights and other stuff just so I can saunter in with my product boxes, stand alone displays and a bag or two! I do love the shows but am seriously not sure I‘ve the energy to keep this up! As of today it appears we’re supposed to have wonderful weather for the event too so … hope you get outside and can head our way!

We've been clearing the basement and I came across a box of picture frames yesterday and I thought ... why not? You'd think dropping something into a frame would be super simple right? Not for me! Almost unraveled one of my favorites but the double stick tape seems to be doing the trick ... so far!

The Sappington House Country Craft Festival is scheduled for April 23rd and 24th this year - 9:00 am to 3:00 pm - and JudeeDoo will again be popping her tent! I was asked to repair a bracelet that was a style that I haven’t seen before but made that repair … and went on to make a batch using the bead stoppers that were new to me. I’m calling them Stopper Bead Bracelets as the connecting bead has a silicone center to keep the chain in place and makes the bracelets adjustable too. Could be I’m out of the loop but I like’ em!

My tent has started to show some wear and tear so I signed up for lessons at City Sewing Room and was thrilled to have someone walk me through reinforcing and fixing the tears. They have small classes so you get one on one attention for whatever your project is and … I really enjoyed the class and Nita is just lovely!

While spending so much time at home I ordered a Punch Needle Kit just to find I have zero skill. Turns out you can not do embroidery stitches with a punch needle so … I gave, pulled up embroidery tools I’ve had since … my teens (?!) … and added a picture of some new stitches I’ve learned although I’ve no idea what if anything to do with them and I just keep doing more as I it oddly therapeutic! Wondering about throw pillows or maybe frame them in groupings? Time will tell!

The weather is looking good so hope you can make it to the show … or at least get out!

JudeeDoo is going to be at the Webster Groves Historical Society’s Christmas Market on Sunday, November 14th from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and we are in the Courtyard, Booth #50 with the market held at the Rolling Ridge Nursery, 60 Gore Avenue in Webster Groves. We will indeed have our heaters (and fire extinguisher!) running (with fire extinguisher!) as it seems it could be a bit nippy. Hope you can stop by to window shop their beautiful holiday display and maybe do some holiday shopping while you’re there. They always have amazing vendors!

Was on a search and destroy trying to find a graphic on my old laptop and thought I'd check e-mails and found an e-mail dated 9/27/2021 with a subject noted as "Copyright Notice" from [email protected] stating "due to recent complaints, our system automatically removed some of your posted images. Make sure your content does not fall under any copyright disputes and reactivate your posts now!" I am ever so limited with regard to social media and post information relative to shows along with pictures of items I've made and pretty much nothing more so I wondered if anyone else has received anything like this. Absolutely everything I offer is made by my own hands, including most closures and ear wires and ... I am at a loss as to any copyright infringements as well as that this was done by another business that is on Facebook too! I'd love feedback from anyone who may have received this type of an e-mail and what you experienced ... and would welcome feedback from Gogo Artesanal as well while I do not seem to see that any of my photos have been removed. Anybody? Anything?

Good morning and Happy Friday to all! JudeeDoo will be doing the Craft & Vendor Fair tomorrow, Saturday, April 21, 2021 at the Old Farm Winery in Catawissa. The show is from 1:00 to 6:00 pm and while it appears we may have a wet start to the day it looks to clear out by mid morning so … give some thought to a lovely country drive as it’s only about 45 minutes away, enjoy some local wine options, live music performed by Kyle and wander around and do some shopping … even if just window shopping! Hope to see you there to enjoy part of your weekend with us!

Update! JudeeDoo will be doing the Sunday show at the Sappington House Museum on April 25th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Dyann Dierkes was kind enough to offer aid from volunteers they have to help vendors getting set up and she had a tent available that was offered too so we didn’t have to fight setting up our tent. Bill’s knee is doing better so he tackled putting up our tent walls while I set up shop. The weather is set on beautiful for tomorrow and I am ready for it! Hope you locals haven’t fully booked up and we’ll see you!
