I am so glad that we know the ocean better than half the world is able to! I’m also happy my daughters love to dive as much as I do! I hope we can all go again soon🐠🐡🐟🫶🏻🫶🏻
Today is World PADI Women's Dive Day, and this year it carries something extra for me. It is the day my July Rise & Dive℠ Signature Cozumel Dive Retreat begins.
I have been thinking about what this day actually means for me in practice. I built Rise & Dive℠ because I kept watching women surface from a dive looking as if something had shifted. Not in a dramatic way, but in the quiet way that real things change. They surface more settled, more certain, and more themselves.
That is what today is about. Not a milestone, but a recognition that women belong in the water, have always belonged in the water, and are showing up in bigger numbers every year to claim it. And there is no place I would rather be marking it than here in Cozumel with a group of women about to find that out for themselves.
If you are a woman who dives, today is yours. If you are a woman considering it, consider this your invitation.
Happy World PADI Women's Dive Day to every woman who has ever dropped below the surface and understood what I mean.
