Word is out! We were given no "heads up" by the corporate folks at Herman Miller, but it's true: they're opening a retail storefront in the Central West End this summer. Centro has been the Authorized Herman Miller Retailer in St. Louis for 25 years, and we've lost count of how many customers are happily lounging in an Eames chair or working from a correctly-sized Aeron chair. We plan to provide the same level of customer service as always and hope the St. Louis community continues to support our small business by shopping local. Same products. Same prices. Very often on sale.

STARTS TOMORROW: the inaugural Market on McPherson debuts SUN 03/28/26 and takes place from 10a - 2p on the last SUN of every month through 10/25/26. Growers, makers, artists, and bakers (all hand-selected by a small group of McPherson + Euclid business owners you already know) will share their wares on our charming street. Families and pets welcome!

The third weekend of Market on McPherson is complete. Check back with us in a couple days for details on our final weekend, it's going to be a good one!

The HIROSHIMA Armchair was born in 2008 from the encounter between Naoto Fukasawa and Maruni’s woodworking tradition in Hiroshima, Japan. At the time of its release, Fukasawa reflected, “I always wanted to design a fine wooden chair that would age with grace through daily use.”

From the outset, the design was rooted in the careful observation of human behavior — how we sit, rest our arms, or rise without thinking. The form developed through a deep understanding of material, structure, and proportion, guided by the belief that a chair should feel natural before it is consciously appreciated.
