What lessons I’ve launched into 2026 with…
Know your worth
- Moving my business to the other side of the country just as it really took off was a massive risk but I’ve done it once and I will do it again. It has already unlocked a new skill of traveling for a mural, first one in the books and it opened up so many possibilities!
Be picky
- I will only take on projects that feel right and that I really feel inspired to paint. If it doesn’t feel 100% right for me or I feel that the client doesn’t fully trust my style or process I will let it go.
Focus focus focus
- Being a creative has it’s pros and cons, my major con being lack of focus. I want to do it all and more and I want to do it all at the same time. This year I’m trying to focus on murals and live painting. While also dedicating a day a week to our new business, more to come soon!
Dream BIG
- It’s been a slow start to the year for my business but it’s only February and I’ve already painted my first traveling mural. I’ve also booked a second mural and booked an event in Orlando that I didn’t expect to get. I’m done with having those low expectations for me and my business and trying to take on a reach for the stars mentality because who wouldn’t want an Irish artist who just moved from CA to FL as part of their team. I have a whole lot to bring to the table.
Trust the journey
- On a more personal note 2025 brought me closer to god, something I didn’t see coming but feels right so I’m going with it. This has given me so much trust in the process and peace in the quieter days that I didn’t think I even needed.
