The aesthetics of a property are influenced by flooring grades. Flooring grades are grades that determine certain characteristics of wood’s appearance. The scale that wood is graded upon takes into account several key factors, such as number and size of knots, amount of sap present, color variations, and wood characteristics.
The ABCD Grade wood flooring, commonly known as Natural Grade or mill run, is the first of the following two flooring classes. Compared to the previous two grades, the knots on wood flooring planks at this grade are more obvious and larger.
Rustic Grade, also known as DEF Grade, is the last grade. As the name implies, flooring made of rustic grade wood has more fillers and knots, giving it a more natural, vintage appearance.
