šŸ¦™I love reading. šŸ¤“ Also listening to this song on repeat!! ā¤ļø Kate Bendewald | Denver Interior Designer and Kate | Interior Design Business Strategist has been a magnificent guiding light for my business. Iā€™ve been working through the IDBB again and itā€™s helping me to refocus on the most important things in my business. šŸ©·

How about a quick re-introductionā€¦ Iā€™m Alesa. I love design and puppies and llamas. (This tank top is now on my website!) I have two teens who are the most fun people Iā€™ve ever met. Iā€™ve been married to a HUNK for almost 18 years. I can still do the splits (thanks to Pure Barre Stafford ā€¼ļø). I re-design almost every room I walk into (in my headā€¦ not out loudā€¦ and because itā€™s fun, not because theyā€™re all bad!). I have PMDD and HSD and fight with fatigue monthly. I have been in the AF Reserves for 19 years. I have three degrees from three colleges in three different fields: Social Sciences, Geographic Information Science, and Interior Design, all of which make my interior design expertise that much stronger! šŸ’›šŸ©µ
Itā€™s the last week of summer for my high schoolers, so we are doing all the fun things: shopping, movies (saw Spiderman AND Odyssey yesterday!!), pool parties, school open house ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø Cozy Llama will be back next week with more cozy content for you! In the meantime, I got to record a podcast with Fredericksburg Neighbors today! Canā€™t wait to share that in the next couple of weeks! šŸ’›šŸ©µ k, luv ya, buh-bye.

Some days I am OVERWHELMED with the things Iā€™m ready and willing to do. Other days I struggle to have any kind of inspiration. Creative people get it. Doesnā€™t matter if youā€™re an artist, gardener, painter, interior designer, graphic designer, DIYerā€¦ I think we can all relate to this spike of creativity. Letā€™s see if I can harness it for good today!

I went from busting out of the smallest bedroom in the house to taking over 2/3 of the garage for my interior design studio space. We didnā€™t use it for the cars, so it was just a matter of master planning the space to keep part of it for garage storage and the rest for my studio. Follow along to see how I will separate the two spaces!

I think it's engrained in our DNA to love to stare at fire. I probably own 40 candles. If you don't like the scent but still want the ambiance, get unscented! Imagine: sitting on your couch with your cozy pillows, blankets, looking out your curtained window, holding a cup of coffee, and to top it off, there's a candle burning on the side table. Perfect!
