Looks can be so deceiving. This gorgeous old tongue & groove piece turned into a much bigger project than expected. 😏 Paint stripping, repairing, sanding, cleaning, etc. 1st photo is before all the work. Today the rewarding part - painting! Greige on the outside, Turbo Thyme on the inside!

Steve & I stopped in to Hometown tonight briefly to bring in a beautiful 2 piece hutch, a sweet little chair and a vintage wooden wallpapering table turned sofa/console table.

This is what desperation looks like… 😔

Positive thoughts & prayers for our Mittens who was just diagnosed with FIP and not doing well. Our last hope is meds we start tonight. He is refusing to eat anything we give despite anti-nausea, appetite stimulant & subcutaneous fluids. He is a very frail 6.8 lb, 12 year old boy.

Would appreciate anyone sharing their experience with this disease even if the outcome is not positive.

Do you have areas in your home that just make you happy? This corner cabinet is stuffed with items I just adore. It is just one space that makes my heart happy.

If you don’t have dishes (I have 3 sets) that make you happy every time you reach for them, go find some that do.

If vintage kitchen items make you happy like they do me, I just might have what you are looking for in my new nook outside my room.

What a restock tonight! We brought in a gorgeous vintage maple/birch Ethan Allen buffet hutch that was lovingly cared for since the 1960s.

TONS of new items have made their way onto shelves, nooks & crannies. The comfy brown chair is headed to its new home tomorrow!
