A Note to the Community
As we head into this weekend and prepare for a potential winter storm, I want everyone to know that The Lincoln Ledger will be here—using our page as a communication hub to help connect needs, services, and reliable information.
One of the biggest challenges during weather events like this isn’t always the storm itself—it’s communication. Information gets scattered, rumors spread fast, and people who need help don’t always know where to ask. So we’re going to be intentional about how we share information.
We will be posting separate, clearly labeled posts for each category and updating those posts as information changes. Please keep comments and updates within the appropriate post so information stays easy to find for everyone.
These posts will include:
1. Road conditions
2. Businesses open / closed
3. Services being offered
4. Services needed
5. Official updates from the Sheriff’s Office, Mayor, Fire Department, County Road Department, and other verified sources
6. Power, water, and communication updates
I’ll be the first to admit it—and y’all already know—I am not the one you want running a chainsaw or heavy equipment. Trying to help 😱🤣 That’s not my lane.
But communicating, connecting people, and helping information move where it needs to go? That part I can do. And right now, that matters.
So here’s how you can help:
👉 Share the posts
👉 Comment if you can help
👉 Comment if you need help
👉 Tag businesses, services, or officials with updates
👉 Help us make the connections
Y’all help me help y’all.
This may be a tough situation, but this is an incredible community that knows how to step up when it counts. I’ve seen it time and time again. Let’s get ahead of this, stay organized, and take care of one another.
One last thing—everyone is stressed.
Be patient. Be kind. Be productive.
If you can help, jump in.
If you can’t help, that’s okay—but please keep the noise down so the people who do need help can be heard.
We’ll be here all weekend doing our best to keep information moving and neighbors connected.
Stay safe. Stay prepared. And take care of each other.
