How simple an "imperfect" candle can be....
For the past few weeks I have been melting down the unused blessed wax at my family church (cradle catholic, although not practicing in normal traditions, I still have the strict respect for.)
My mother and daughter's church (and the church I was born in, baptized into, confirmed in, and now my daughter is a parishioner of...) had BLESSED unused beeswax candles.... to be disposed of properly...
No go in my book. Sister Christine is strong in my head. We WILL find a way to help the "unwanted"....
Here comes my tribute... to a woman who taught me NOTHING is EVER unwanted. There is ALWAYS a way to repurpose and repair things in need.
These are my "imperfect" candles π€·ββοΈ Not all as are ugly, I just chose my most challenged one to be an example. Because, honestly, that is what we are.
Despite your faith (whatever it may be!!! I support it!!) This is where I grew up, imperfect and still beautiful.
Love is all that matters, and I guarantee there is SO MUCH love poured into these candles. As I had the purest 9 year old heart helping me the whole way, reminding me of the simple blessings of spending time with your child, doing the things they are most passionate about.
Let's learn from these babes.
I know I am.
