๐Ÿš Wellโ€ฆ theyโ€™re finding homes.

When I introduced my first Cockle Cascade, I ended by asking what might come next.

Turns out, quite a bit. ๐Ÿค

That little experiment has grown into a collection of blooms and cascades, and several pieces have already found their way home through Boro Girl Boutique โ€” including three that went home with one customer.

I restocked with these three: a Babyโ€™s Ear Cascade and two Atlantic Bay Scallop Blooms โ€” one in warm coastal tones, and one creamy white with natural stripes.

No paint. No dyes. No two alike.

We donโ€™t always make old things look new.

Sometimes we just make them worth noticing again. ๐ŸคŽ

Two pieces. Two completely different beginnings. And two things that were just too freaking cool to give up on.

An old industrial fan became a one-of-a-kind statement table.

A weathered mid-century patio chair kept every bit of its beautiful age โ€” cleaned and sealed, wood arms refinished, and sides restrung with natural twine.

Thereโ€™s something satisfying about bringing a well-made piece back to life.

This solid oak A. Brandt Ranch Oak end table has all the details that made these pieces favorites decades agoโ€”a built-in magazine rack, a dovetail drawer, and my favorite surpriseโ€ฆthe drawer opens from either side, making it perfect between two chairs.

The natural oak top and drawer let the craftsmanship shine, while the satin black finish gives it a fresh, modern home.

Beauty, Found.

Every once in a while, I stumble across something that makes me wonder about the stories it could tell.

This mid-century ice bucket isnโ€™t just a way to keep drinks cold.

Itโ€™s cocktail parties. Laughter echoing through the living room. Frank Sinatra on the stereo. Neighbors dropping by unannounced. Someone carefully placing ice cubes into highball glasses while the brass tongs clink against the glass.

The turquoise. The gold. The warm walnut handle. Those fabulous brass claw tongs.

More than sixty years later, it hasnโ€™t lost an ounce of its personality.

Thatโ€™s the kind of beauty I love finding.

The first piece in my Cockle Collection.

Every shell is individually hand-selected, drilled, and woven into a flowing coastal design that celebrates the incredible natural palette of the prickly cockleโ€”from soft ivory and blush to warm sand and smoky gray.

No paint. No dyes. Just the remarkable beauty that nature created.

Some pieces are worth saving.

This antique marble-top dresser was one of them.

Beneath years of wear was a beautifully built piece with hand-cut dovetail drawers, its original carved wooden keyhole escutcheons, original marble top, and original tri-panel mirror. Even the back still bears its original shipping stencil to Wilmington, North Carolinaโ€”a wonderful reminder of its long history.

To give it a fresh chapter, we refinished the solid wood in a rich navy, carefully preserved the marble, and reimagined the original brass-tone hardware in a soft silver finish to complement the cool tones of the stone.

We didnโ€™t erase her storyโ€ฆ we simply gave her a new one.
