The Shell Shack was never going to be just a pool house.

From the moment we were brought in, we knew this little space had the potential to become something really special. A place made for slow mornings, wet swimsuits, summer hosting, and the kind of everyday moments that end up becoming favorite memories.

After the plans were drawn, we had the joy of helping shape everything that gave this space its heart—paint colors, flooring, tile, fixtures, hardware, furniture, and all the finishing details that make a house feel layered and lived in.

Named so perfectly by our clients, The Shell Shack is playful, polished, welcoming, and full of charm… and we’re so grateful to have been part of it from the very beginning.

One of our favorite things about design is when a home tells the story of the people who live in it.

This project blends a modern aesthetic with intentional details inspired by this family’s mission trips overseas. It leaves them with a space that feels grounded, soulful, and uniquely theirs. Beautiful design is always better when it carries meaning.

Before the installs, the shopping, and the styling… there’s always the mood board.

This is where we begin shaping a room. We create color palettes, layer patterns, and make sure every piece works together to tell the story of the space.

And in this case, we have design complete with playful patterns and a little nod to a teenage girl’s love for her cat.

Design is more than decor— it’s how a space makes you feel.

This project was all about balance: layering textures, honoring natural light, and choosing pieces that bring both beauty and comfort.

In the office, we leaned into vibrant color and movement to create a space that welcomes conversation and creativity.

In the master bedroom, we softened the palette to invite calm, rest, and a touch of luxury.

Because every room should feel like it was designed just for you.

Throwback Thursday to this entryway. This client needed a functional, but styled, drop area for their busy family. We accomplished this by adding hooks for purses, backpacks, and jackets, while also providing a console with drawers for added storage.

This sunnier, warmer day has us dreaming of the time when we can enjoy sitting out on our porches sipping on our favorite drinks again with family and friends.

When this local business was ready for a refresh, they asked for light, welcoming, and homey- a reflection of how they want their clients to feel when they walk in the lobby. We think we accomplished exactly that! The finishes for this renovation are classic, timeless, and will keep for many years.
