✨AVAILABLE✨ Vintage Mid-Century Modern Dixie Furniture 4 Drawer Chest.

Would you believe me if I told you I found this lovely gal at the THRIFT STORE?! It’s incredibly rare that I find or buy furniture at a thrift store, actually it’s been yearssss. Most of what you’d find around here, is overpriced for its poor condition, or just not good quality furniture.

However, I happened to be in a second-hand store a few weeks ago and this baby must have just been wheeled out to the floor. There were 4 other people standing around her gawking and admiring her details, and knowing what she was, I quickly snagged the tag and ran to the check out 😂.

Did I need another piece of furniture to work on? Absolutely not. But was I the right person to refinish her and do her full justice? Absolutely YES!

I gave her the full makeover. She’s been fully refinished and is looking fabulous! I kept her original “Atomic Starburst” hardware as they were part of a cultural and design movement in the 1950’s & 1960’s that grew out of fascination with the Space Race, science, and nuclear energy. So, you know I had to keep those and just freshen them up. ✨

This gal is now looking for her next Forever Home. DM me for more details!

This vintage dry sink got quite the restoration! When my client reached out to me, it was currently painted a “shabby chic” turquoise look. Even the hardware had been painted over 🥴. Luckily for this piece, a full restoration was requested and I was able to scrub all that old paint off, give it a new stain, and sealed it up in a lovely satin finish. I wasn’t sure what the woodgrain was going to look like under that painted finish, but holy moly it looks good! 🔥🤩

If you are interested in giving your furniture a new look, either painted or refinished, I am now booking late November into December. DM me for more information.

🌟SOLD🌟 It’s been a while since I’ve refinished a Mid-Century piece of furniture, but my sweet neighbors were getting rid of this piece and asked if I’d like to refinish it so you know I said, YES!!
It’s always a pleasure getting to work on something with clean lines and lovely woodgrain. This 1960’s vintage beauty is now fully refinished and up for sale! DM me for details if you’re interested in it.

✨ SOLD ✨
Another beautiful set of nightstands has found its forever home! These were refinished in General Finishes Black Dye Stain, giving them a rich, timeless finish that lets the natural wood grain still shine through.

I held onto this set for months because I couldn’t decide what color I wanted to refinish them in. When a friend stopped by and saw them in progress, he immediately claimed them before I had even finished!

These beauties are now headed to their new home, where they’ll be paired with a gorgeous black-stained Ethan Allen four-poster bed. I can’t wait to see the finished bedroom—they’re going to look right at home. 🖤✨

There’s something special about knowing a piece of furniture is becoming part of someone’s next chapter. 🤍

These timeless nightstands, finished in a crisp, bright white, are heading to North Carolina to live with a stylish young lady in her very first apartment. Classic, elegant, and versatile—they’ll fit right in as she creates a home that’s uniquely hers.

One of my favorite parts of refinishing furniture is giving beautiful pieces a second life while they become part of someone else’s story. I hope these nightstands serve her well through all the milestones and memories to come.

The Stickley Twins 👬🤩

I realized I never posted the after photos of these beauties, so here they are!

These solid cherry nightstands were selected from my unfinished inventory by my client and customized to complement the flooring in her North Carolina home 🏡.

They were stripped, sanded, sealed (to help prevent cherry blotching), stained in Varathane® Briarsmoke, and then finished with a beautiful satin topcoat.

We also replaced the original brass drawer pulls with more modern black hardware to complement the colors in the bedroom.

By choosing a stained wood finish instead of paint, we preserved the integrity of the solid cherry while highlighting its beautiful grain and original craftsmanship. The result is a timeless, updated look that honors the quality of these Stickley pieces.
