I didn’t get a chance to take a whole lot of before pictures from last week‘s job because I was so excited to get started but this kitchen and dining room definitely got a huge facelift from where it was before I got there. We stained at Golden Oak and finished it with a water-based polyurethane, where we incorporated WearMax into our three coat system. WearMax is a full ceramic bead, water-based polyurethane that increases the durability in your Harwood floors by an insane amount! 💪🏽

I always tell my clients that choosing a color is the second most important thing after choosing a contractor! I try to be as accommodating as possible during this process often making small panels to see ahead of time and get a idea of colors along with doing doing another color palate on the floor to make sure we nail the right color For the floor.

Man sometimes I forget how lucky I am I got involved with this trade! I remember the homeowners walking in and their eyes lit up and they said that is the first time that the natural wood on this floor has been seen in about 96 years! This hidden little gem is a real historic treat of the Sauk Valley area. This cabin along with its beautiful pine floor has been here for almost 100 years it’s going to live on for many many more!

Here’s something pretty interesting. You don’t see every day the small utility closet on an upper level of a home where all the other flooring was old growth, red oak here lies us fully cedar closet! I thought it’d be important to showcase this on its own because I fear that once the home is sold this closet will be filled with stuff and never truly appreciated for its beauty, rarity,and uniqueness!
