I heard the Big Boy # 4014 steam locomotive is passing through Iowa and Illinois over these next couple days - how cool is that?!?!

Do you have a train enthusiast in your family? We have a few pretty great items available for the beginner as well as the seasoned collector.

From the greater Chicagoland area, a few Thomas the Train toys, some old spikes, a Chicago Tramrail hook, Amtrak dinnerware from the old Dinner Cars, and the piece-de-resistance is the FIVE-FOOT ALUMINUM GENERAL ELECTRIC EMBLEM! A very rare find in this size.

Roll on in to take a look any Fri-Sat from 10:00am - 4:00pm, just east of Steuben, WI on County Rd E (first property east of the Hwy 131 / County E stop sign). Check our FB Page for more details, and look for our OPEN sign at the driveway.

Pam is bringing in one of her own special treasures this coming weekend!
Relocated from the Lake Michigan side of the state, previous "antique adventures" secured several books in 1938-1940 PENNY BOOKS published by Whitman Publishing in Racine, WI.
Highly collectible and nearly-officially "antique" as they approach 100 years old!
- The very first set # 1100A Famous Comic Strip Story Books Series contained 18 titles published in 1938-1939. I have 9 titles plus 1 duplicate (10 books total), all 2nd Printing with Variation
- The very second set # 1100B Fun Book Series was another 18 titles in 1940. I have 11 titles plus 2 duplicates (13 books total), all 1st Printing
- The first set of the second Series, intended for younger children # 1104 Fairy Tale and Story Book Series. Of the 20 titles published in 1939, I have 10 titles plus 2 duplicates and 1 triplet (14 books total)

I've been perusing ebay, etsy and auction sites to determine pricing, and will have it set by Friday.

Well, I've had a couple unexpected delays and am not ready yet, but we have to open eventually! 2026 OPENING IS COMING SOON!
So many friends checking in, with these wonderful warm-ups we've had -- thanks to all who are just as anxious as we are to get the 2026 season underway!
We need to wait until the overnight temps are consistently above freezing, but fear not! We'll be using the warmer days to reset the shop with lots of "new" old stuff to fill your walls and shelves. Likely opening early May.
