My cousin, Aimee, is always ready for a conversation...if it includes a big belly laugh, even better.

She celebrates the successes of others.

She’s always ready to help get things done.

Over the last year, Aimee has gone from “Do I really need sleeves on the sweater?” to “This sweater needs sleeves!”

We are all so lucky for everything she’s created with Darn Knit Anyway and the community that’s grown because of it!

Last week, before we left for H&H, I was dying for something quick to throw on my needles. Something that we hadn’t knit with before, but could maybe make into a new kit for the shop.

Somehow, we hadn’t knit anything out of our exclusive Ewetopia color, “Pool Noodle”.

Well, twist my arm. I GUESS I’ll make the sacrifice. :)

🤩This is the Grid Gambit cowl by Samantha Guerin. It works great in color-changing yarn like Helix.

🔥Boom. Four days later, I had a cowl. Yep. Four days. It FLEW off my needles. :)

I really haven’t had so much fun or knit something so fast in a long time.

🥰I also made Julianna model for me...isn’t she so cute? :)

I chose one of my new favoritest yarns - Queensland Elder - to pair with our Pool Noodle. It’s just so bright and cheery and fun.

Perfection. :)

The pattern itself is fantastic - I get now why people love it. A seven stitch repeat that is easy to memorize...yep, perfect to travel around with me as we wandered the sales floor.

💜I’ve kitted up some of my favorite colors of Elder with our Pool Noodle, and - badda bing, badda boom - you get the Pool Noodle Gambit.

I hope you love it as much as I do. It’s gonna take every ounce of self control to not cast on another one.
