Holding on to summer with both fins. Or is it one fin? Regardless, there is still another month of summer left!! Introducing a mini version of the mermaids cove. Yes, you can make a little oval scene complete with a hand painted porcelain mermaid. 🧜‍♀️

It all started with the vintage porcelain mermaid figurine, and the fantastic antique hair tonic advertisement. They just had to be together in a shadow box. Just when all of the ingredients were assembled in a custom wood box, the antique molding was found and had to be part of it. Coincidentally the windows in our antique home were being restored. So of course, the glass covering this box is wavy glass from 1879. It couldn’t be more delightful.

Don’t you just love a blue ribbon? We all would love to win first place and be rewarded with a blue ribbon for …anything! Maybe even a dad, or a grad. We found a stash of pristine vintage 5” blue ribbon bows and knew right away what needed to be done. Add a gorgeous Dresden medallion, a “First Place” button and abundant ribbon tails. There is even a nice pin on the pack to wear proudly. 12” long.

Celebrating Mother’s Day by appreciating all the women and girls in our lives. Flowers in teacups epitomizes springtime, new growth and hope. Today of all days we are hopeful. Fresh additions to the shop, vintage vessels with pretty flowers. Just in time.
