Was able to go see the final installation of “A Library in the Woods” this week with my incredible summer assistant Tommy Walls at Edythe Dyer Community Library in Hamden, Maine. Could not have done this without him and the incredible community turnout to support this special library that sits in the woods on the Penobscot River. The community submitted drawings and ideas based on a library in the Maine Woods and these were turned into a multi panel design to greet you on the walking trails behind the library. Originally slated to be installed on the entry side of the newly renovate library the new siding situation would not suite the panels so we pivoted and used the storage building at the back of the property as well as created 5 panels mounted on poles to lead you back to the mural and trails. Big shoutout to the librarian and staff at the library as well as the town works crew for making this happen. It take a village 💪 🎨 🌈 💚 !

After I was released from the hospital in late December of last year I had little interest in painting anymore, but slowly I began to create some smaller, more manageable, landscapes to escape within as I started to heal. Having some normalcy at that time was, and is still important as I continue to slowly get back to better health. In June I brought these 20+ small works out to North Haven Island to Fox Island Gallery and tomorrow I’ll be out there to meet and speak to anyone interested in my thoughts on the Maine landscape, painting, and life.

A quiet year in the studio this year as I continue to heal, but thankful to Blue Raven Gallery and their patience as I continue to create. My paintings continue to reveal those who inhabit the Maine landscape and the magic they know, conceal, and reveal. 🐻 🐦‍⬛ 🦌 🐇 Delivered these three little gems the other day and hope to see you out at Rockland First Friday tonight from 4-7pm in Rockland, Maine!

LOVED seeing this pendant recently, inspired by the waters of The Stover Preserve in Belfast, Maine, living its good life outdoors here in Stockton Springs. More and more I’m inspired to create paintings that are inspired by nature but also get to live outside with the ☀️ 🌧️ ❄️. At some point my mural making melding with my studio work and I’ve never looked back. My residency with Allegra with WaterfallArts and Coastal Mountain LandTrust was a special time to “play” with outdoor formats and abstraction inspired by the lands and waters of Maine .
