I promised you an honest verdict. Here it is.

Peel and stick wallpaper is a yes — with conditions. Easy to install, looks beautiful, and perfect for a DIYer or anyone who loves refreshing their space. But air bubbles near vents are real, it has a slight vinyl feel up close, and if this is your forever home — skip it. Invest in the real thing and hire a pro.

I tested this in my own dining room and yup I’ll keep it cause I love the pattern, but I’ll probably be doing real wallpaper in the next year to two and I’m ok with that.

Every home has a journey. This is what mine looks like when I close my eyes and dream one up from scratch.
Dark and grounded in the kitchen. Unexpected drama in the pantry. Bold color that earns its place in the dining room. Warmth and a fireplace in the bedroom. And then the bathroom — quiet, light, the exhale.

This is how I think about design. Not room by room — but as one complete feeling running through an entire home.

It’s one of the things I love about exploring spaces with AI design tools. Things come to life and it feels like you can step inside the picture.

Most people see the finished room. They don’t see the tile samples, the carpet pulls, the hours in SketchUp, or the measuring tape on a cold countertop slab.

This is what a Wednesday actually looks like — and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every decision I make in this job exists so that when you walk into your finished space, it feels completely right. That doesn’t happen by accident.

The best contractors I have ever worked with say it themselves — bring in a designer before you start a project. And they mean it, because they have seen what happens when finishes get chosen without one.

There is a journey behind every design. Most of the time that journey starts with a conversation that did not happen early enough — before the budget was spoken for and the decisions were rushed.

The finishes are not the last thing you choose. They are the thing you live with every single morning. If you cannot afford the ones you love right now, wait. Because that feeling when you finally walk into a space that is exactly right — it is worth it.

A leaking pipe sped up the timeline — but honestly, this bathroom had been waiting years for its moment.

The original shower felt like a cave, the tub was a built-in relic from the 80s, and the whole space just didn’t match who my clients had become. We flipped the tub orientation to make room for the freestanding soaker she really wanted, opened up the shower so natural light could finally do its job, and pulled everything together with the Moen Colinet brushed nickel collection — classic lines, updated feel.

They loved the result so much, we’re already working on bathroom number two.

I just walked 11.5 MILLION square feet of furniture showrooms and my feet hurt but my heart is happy 😍

High Point Market was absolutely incredible - so much inspiration, so many beautiful pieces, and my designer brain is officially on overload.
