Summer was meant for these little gems. The Club Botanic plant of June is the Croton Petra. This brightly colored beauty loves the sun and adds pizzazz to any plant collection.
☀️Place in a south or west-facing window. Insufficient light causes leaves to turn solid green; too much intense direct sun will scorch them.
💧Use a well-draining potting mix. Keep the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged. Drooping leaves indicate the plant is too dry.
💦Thrives above 50% humidity. Mist the leaves regularly or place a humidifier nearby. Keep temps between 60--85° F and shield from cold drafts, which cause sudden leaf drops.
Fertilizer: Apply a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer every two weeks during the spring and summer growing season.
