At the beginning of this year, I decided to challenge a mental block I've carried for as long as I can remember:

"I'm not a runner."

For years, I told myself that story. Because of it, I never made it past 1.5–2 miles. I believed running just wasn't for me.

But here's the thing: it wasn't the running holding me back. It was the belief.

So I downloaded an app, started a beginner's running plan, and set a goal to run 6 miles by mid-May.

And guess what?

I did it.

And you know what else?

I genuinely LOVE my running time now. The thing that once felt impossible has become something I look forward to. And 2 miles? That feels like a short run these days.

This experience reminded me of something important:

You can do hard things.

So many limitations we place on ourselves aren't based on what we're actually capable of—they're based on the stories we've repeated so many times that we've accepted them as truth.

Hard looks different for everyone.

Maybe it's running.
Maybe it's starting a business.
Maybe it's setting boundaries.
Maybe it's speaking up.
Maybe it's simply believing in yourself again.

Think about how often negative thoughts run through your mind each day:

"I'm not getting enough done."
"I'm overwhelmed."
"I'm stressed."
"I'm not enough."
"They don't like me."
"I can't do this."

The list goes on and on.

How can we expect ourselves to be productive, confident, and happy when we're constantly tearing ourselves down?

What if we challenged those thoughts the same way we challenge our bodies?

What if the story you've been telling yourself isn't true?

✨ You are capable of more than you think.

What's one belief about yourself you're ready to let go of?
