Nine-year-old Damarius knows a thing or two about overcoming adversity. Physically challenged since birth, he's been living with the most aggressive form of Muscular Dystrophy since he was diagnosed in 2012. Despite being wheelchair bound since the age of 7, he's never let it hold him back - or slow him down. And his mother Marilyn is determined to make sure it never does. She has started a GoFundMe campaign to help secure a wheelchair-accessible van for Damarius.
Why do we know this? Because his dad, Michael, is part of the Capitol Lighting family. And when it's family, you do what you can to help - however you can.
We've made the commitment to match up to $2,500 in donations made to Damarius's GoFundMe campaign. And we're asking you to join us.
It's simple. It's important. It's immediate. And it will make a profound difference in the quality of life of a little boy who refuses to let circumstance dictate happiness.
