This fall, in between bringing clients homes to life, I took on a project close to my heart. Fortin Interiors now has its very own design studio!

The studio will be a place to dream, create, and be inspired. I’ve longed for a space to welcome clients, fellow creatives, and the vendors who help bring every project to life. I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.

Right now she’s getting all gussied up before her official photoshoot and welcoming visitors. I can’t wait to share more. Stay tuned!

A perfect fall day in the countryside.

We began at Clove Brook Farm with Christopher Spitzmiller, Inc. and Anthony Bellomo for their designer tag sale, wandering through the breathtaking property they created and taking in the thoughtful details of its interiors and landscape. Inspiration—and treasures—were everywhere. I found a few beautiful pieces to share, and a few I couldn’t resist keeping for myself.

From there, we took the scenic route, lingering at favorite spots along the way—drawn to beautiful objects, idyllic landscapes, and the changing colors of autumn.

A day of design, discovery, and countryside beauty. Exactly how fall should be.

Our Westland Parlor feels especially at home this time of year - rich jewel tones, lush layers, and a room that practically calls you to come in grab a seat and light a fire.

Summer got the best of us in the best way.

The days were filled with both work and play and lots of time making the everyday feel special.

This summer we kicked off a new project in Newton, where we are bringing soft traditional touches to a grand Tudor. Our Wayland project is inching closer to the finish line. The layers continue to build with the mix of modern and antiques.

And there’s so much more to share this fall! Can’t wait to share all that has been brewing behind the scenes.

Every moody room needs a light-filled counterpart.

The living room at our Westland project sits directly across from the parlor. While the parlor is deep and dramatic, this space leans a bit more soft and feminine. We leaned into muted blues, warm neutrals, and hints of green.

Here’s our proof that soft can still be striking.

POV: You trusted your Designer to go bold and never looked back.

This 1894 Parlor demanded some drama. We wrapped the space in a rich blue grasscloth, layered in velvet seating, collected artwork and timeless antiques. The result is a space that is equal parts sophisticated and intimate.

People often ask what goes into creating a design presentation. This is it.

Hours of researching, sourcing, and customizing selections that take everything into consideration from scale and finish to functionality in the space. Fabrics take on a life of their own once you start layering them. You’re constantly asking does this mix of scale and pattern work? Will it hold up to real life?

That’s the job. Making all of this feel simple and enjoyable to clients.

Small space. Big personality.

Powder rooms are the perfect place to take a design risk. Wrapped in soft floral wallpaper this space strikes the perfect balance between timeless and bold. The delicate pattern creates a beautiful backdrop for the classic details - from the marble mosaic floor to the vintage inspired faucet proving that even the Smallest rooms can leave the biggest impression.

Triple digits outside means one thing for us: design books, iced tea, and zero guilt about not leaving the couch.
