Our clients wanted a complete transformation of their outdated guest bathroom, featuring a soaking tub and multiple shower heads to create a calming and relaxing space.

We took their vision and created a personalized spa retreat just for them.

Jon Laine & Co. selected a walnut vanity with ample storage and a coordinating framed mirror. The floor features porcelain matte tiles with marble veins in shades of gray, brown and rust, complemented by a hexagon mosaic tile in the shower niche. The shower walls are clad in oversized white porcelain tiles arranged in a straight stack pattern reaching all the way to the ceiling, creating an impression of increased height.

A new 22-inch deep soaking tub and an extra-tall commode complete the space.

To enhance the natural ambiance, we added nature-inspired decor with a shower curtain, accent rug and hanging succulent plants above the commode. The artwork serves as a tribute to the original bathroom, blending past and present beautifully.

Jon Laine & Co. loves this stainless steel bathroom waste basket we found! The outer stainless steel cover comes off, slip trash bag in the inner liner and slide the cover back over. Holds the trash bag in place without it hanging over the outside! Plus, it’s easy to clean!

The southern charm flows into the dining room, where a wall-to-wall wet bar in matching steel blue cabinets shines beneath a gold-tone light and mercury mirror. The client’s impressive ten-foot espresso dining table is anchored by ivory tufted wingback chairs, cognac leather Parsons chairs, and a long bench. A woven basket centerpiece holds a chinoiserie vase brimming with hydrangeas in blue, ivory, orange, and yellow, flanked by whimsical gold bee and beehive accents alongside mercury glass votives and coasters.

This new build beautifully blends southern charm with personal heritage. Jon Laine & Co. framed the traditional fireplace with matching walnut cabinets, drawing color inspiration from rich wood floors, molding, brick, and striking steel blue paneling above. An oversized canvas of a Louisiana blue heron in soft neutrals anchors the mantel, flanked by gold lanterns, a cherished heirloom clock, and blue-and-white chinoiserie vases.

To the left, a watercolor swamp scene hangs above a walnut cabinet topped with a mercury glass lamp, a framed easel, and a golden bird figurine, while a blue-and-white vase with southern hydrangeas and gold candle holders complete the look on the other side. The homeowners furnished the room with taupe and beige seating, providing a neutral backdrop for colorful accents. Above the couch, a large magnolia print in ivory and blue brings the Louisiana state flower indoors.

Opposite the fireplace, an open walnut cabinet with arched details showcases a vintage phonograph, a bronze cowboy sculpture honoring the client’s alma mater, and displays albums, books, and décor. The grandmother’s rocker sits nearby beneath an original Elton Louviere print. An accent rug strokes the palette together with shades of blue, terracotta, ivory, and gold—tying the whole space into a warm, personal southern retreat.
