The kids and I wanted to thank Big Pine Academy for putting on a wonderful raffle and fundraising talent show event at Looe Key Tiki yesterday. With around 150 items for raffle or silent auction from local businesses, it was quite the community event, with proceeds going to support BPA. The kids were fortunate enough to put some tickets in the right places, winning Golf at Boondocks, honey from Southern Most Bees, fishing apparel from Spanish Fly, a snorkel trip from Captain Hook's, and - drum roll - we had purchased a ticket for the custom golf cart from David Taylor at Cudjoe Custom Carts... we won the drawing! Thank you to all the faculty, staff, volunteers, and local businesses who made this event possible.
