We are the real deal as far as picking goes. How many of you would've bought out this shed with the roof caved in, not knowing what would really be in there? The first picture is what it looked like when we made the offer to buy it (yes we are always buying out estates, collections, and even falling down sheds full of stuff. The 2nd and 3rd pictures are a pile of hammers that I found buried (almost everyone of the handles fell off when I went to pick them up (this was just one pile of several piles of hammers, ratchets, axes, hand saws, and more. The 4th pic is what the shed looks like after 4 days of going through it. 2 less loads of scrap metal hauled off, lots of cast iron cookware, about 90 vintage license plates, and a lot more.

So far, I'd say the working (Zenith) clock (yes it still lights up after being in there for several years) is my favorite find in this shed. If this sheds roof hadn't caved in, it would've been a lot easier, but I feel thats what sits us apart from the I consider myself a picker going to the Goodwill people.

I call B.S. on some of these items being hot, and on their prices. But, some really are very hot. What's selling best for me is without a doubt costume jewelry. The vintage and older the better. Brooches are definitely the best.

Something else that has really came back around is music cd's, not for a lot of money, but they're selling at every antique and vintage mall I'm in.

Coins are doing very well, especially low priced ones that anyone can afford and 90% silver coins.

I won't say it's hot, but we've definitely been selling more clear glass or crystal then in the past.

I don't think old vintage or antique advertising porcelain or just metal signs will ever do anything other than go up in price. I always say that if you find one for a good price, buy it. People just love them and I don't see that ever changing.

Fads will come and go very quickly, and I have said for a very long time not much ever gets hotter, than hot. For the people that buy items when they shoot up in price very, very fast because of hot online trends, will almost 100% of the time lose their ass.

So buy what you like, because you like it. Don't buy stuff because the internet tells you to like it. I've been into way too many estates that the mother has spent her life savings shopping on late night T.V. and you can't even move through the rooms of unopened items that are worth pennies vs what was spent on them, or garages so full of tools that the dad bought to never even use.

If you see something you like and the price is OK with you and you're doing fine with your bills, then buy it because you want it. If you have to wait till payday to buy a $500 hen on the nest and think it's going to make you money then run away.

Don't throw away those boxes! You might be sitting on a gold mine.

We're doing a small version of Pickers Hullabaloo Flea Market today with the weather not looking the best. We usually take a ton of stuff, but have lost a lot of merchandise in the past thanks to heavy rains. Today we didn't want to repeat that, hopefully next time we'll be able to bring out our usually "TON of STUFF". I hope that i totally screwed this weather prediction up and it ends up being the perfect day.

Know what you're buying friends. This 14k gold necklace with 14k gold beads weighed 9.8g (grams) with the 5 cloisonne beads. How much do you think it weighed once those 5 beads came off?
