Cuteness Alert: Carrie has another grandchild on the way, so she has been busy knitting the sweetest animal friends.

First up is the Little Bear Friend by Nessa Stockard. Carrie used Woolstok Tweed for the bear and Woolstok for the face and adorable owl sweater. Such a special keepsake for a little one to love and snuggle.

Next is the Lente Donkey from Hardicraft. While we are currently out of stock of the donkey kit, we do have many other adorable animal kits available, including John Bear, Frida Pig, Tinnus Frog, and more. These intermediate kits include yarn, stuffing, safety eyes, and instructions — just add needles.

If you love cables, our W&G teacher Karen just finished a gorgeous tank by Lamana using Emma’s Simply Spectacular DK.

This beautiful slip-over features vertical cables with reverse stockinette side panels and is worked in the round from the bottom up before separating for the front and back. A fun and rewarding project for intermediate knitters — and the perfect piece to wear all summer long.

This week’s Friday Finishers are all about sweaters made with love for the special men in our lives.

First up is Lori, who knit a cozy cardigan for her grandson Oliver from Jane Ellison’s Queensland Collection using Scout. Seeing him bundled up in his sweater during a chilly New England winter makes this gift even more meaningful. Great job Lori!

Next is Lisa, who made Gib II by Andrea Mowry in Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok for her husband. This top-down sweater is full of beautiful details, and the smile on his face says it all.

Lastly, Marilyn created the PT 8218 beat by Wendy Knight in Sueno DK for both her husband and son. Handmade sweaters truly become treasured keepsakes, and these look absolutely wonderful.

This week’s Student Spotlight is Liz, who created the most thoughtful 50th birthday gift for her friend — a custom tennis sweater! 🎾💚

She knit Fancy by Lamb & Kid Designs using Cascade 128 and added the word “LOVE” with duplicate stitch. The sweetest touch? She turned the “O” into a tennis ball, making this sweater truly one of a kind.

Such a creative, heartfelt project filled with love in every stitch. Amazing work, Liz!

Now that the weather is warming up, it’s time for summer tees. Sharon is wearing the Anker’s Summer Shirt by PetiteKnit in Sueno DK — and it looks perfect for the season.

This versatile top is worked from the top down, beginning with sections of ribbing and increases in the round before moving into classic raglan shaping in stockinette. A wonderful first sweater project and an easy piece you’ll reach for all summer long.

Last night we kicked off our Spring Knit Along for the Mellow Mood Top — the perfect summer tee. This top down, in-the-round project is a wonderful choice for adventurous beginners, with just the right amount of new skills to keep things fun and interesting.

Wendi got an early start in April and is already wearing hers! She used Isager Eco Baby, and her top looks soft, comfy, and perfect for summer. The fit is fabulous and so is the subtle green.

It’s Monday, which means it’s needlepoint day at Wool & Grace! We have two beautiful finishers to share this week. Rose (left) and Marsha (right) both stitched gorgeous eyeglass cases and then had them professionally finished. Such a fun and practical project!
