Gabe and I have dreamed of this season and cannot believe that it’s finally happening for us.

We’ve had 15 sweet and beautiful years of just us together and now our best adventure is yet to come.

Baby Castaneda, you are so loved and we cannot wait to meet you in 2027. 🫶

Cheers to turning 31 ✨ This last year has been a big one! Full of special memories and experiences with my favorite humans. I am so grateful for this beautiful and full life of mine. Truly cannot wait for all that is come in this next year. 🥹🫶

A few highlights from the last year:
- Over 30 family members and friends came to visit and stayed with us (hiking, fishing, a multi day power outage, & more)
- Placed 1st at a Strongman competition and earning a spot at USS Nationals
- Big family vacation to celebrate Gabe’s grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary in the Philippines
- Finding our home for SheWorks in the most stunning building in Tacoma and celebrating with our people
- Celebrating Gabe’s birthday in Toronto and seeing Niagara Falls
- Hosting lots of special and fun events
- Special celebratory trip to Hawaii
- Competing at USS Nationals in Cedar Rapids and placing 4th
- Chicago girls trip with my bestie
- And so SO many countless laughs and moments with my girls

Last Saturday I did one of the coolest things I’ve ever done in my life. I competed at the USS (Strongman) Nationals Competition in Iowa and took 4th place! ✨

As someone who never had the opportunity to play sports as a kid, qualifying and getting an invitation to this was a big deal.

Life the last 2 months has been beyond crazy filled with up and downs and grief, so I didn’t get the chance to train or touch the implements as much as I had hoped but I did the best I could do and I’m pretty darn proud of myself. Getting to compete with hundreds of incredibly strong athletes was a top highlight! ✨

There were a total of 5 events and headed into the comp I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do all of them, these were some HEAVY weights. As our coach Shuty would say, if it was easy everyone would be able to do it. I have a run down of the events in the carousel.

I didn’t do as well in some areas as I had hoped but did better in others. I even had some new PRs too! The biggest shout outs to Evolve Strong Fitness, Tehaleh and Imperiya Barbell for all the support they have provided in my training for this!

I got to meet some really special people in the arena. It was incredible to see people from all over supporting and encouraging each other!

It was such an honor to be there with 2 other athletes from our community. Watching Felicia and Joe perform was awesome. To Shuty and Katie, thank you for being there on the floor coaching and supporting us throughout the whole day.

To Hailey, one of the best friends a girl could ever ask for, thank you for traveling with me all the way to the mid west and supporting me! (Especially during my weight cut the day before while traveling. Hehe) It meant everything to me and I cannot thank you enough! 🥰

Special shout out to Gabe for his encouragement throughout my prep leading up to this and especially for feeding and fueling me all the time. Hehe 😘

And thank YOU all for your love and support, it has meant the world to me! 🥹🫶

Being there has inspired me to keep this up and hopefully I get the honor of being invited to Nationals again in the future. Here’s to us all doing big things that scare us and challenge us!

About two weeks ago, we hosted the sweetest event for women and mothers to gather with their littles to connect, support one another, and simply be together. 🤍

It turned into something even more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. Every little detail came together so perfectly. I wish I could relive the whole day over and over again. Walking around the room and witnessing so many meaningful moments between mamas, friends, and families filled my heart in the biggest way.

Being surrounded by so many incredible mamas inspired me deeply as someone who cannot wait to become a mama one day myself. Getting to hold some of the sweetest little babes was absolutely one of my favorite parts of the entire afternoon. 🥹

We are so deeply grateful for this community that showed up and chose to share their Saturday afternoon with us. 🫶

This weekend’s Mother’s Day Market at Knutson Farms was exactly what my soul needed! 🥰

Getting to spend two full days chatting with friends old and new, seeing babies with their mamas and grandmamas, creating custom gifts on sight that made people drop their jaws.

I had the honor of creating so many meaningful pieces that celebrated all kinds of mother figures and special women in people’s lives. My favorite creations by far were the sweet handwritten pieces from little kiddos. 🥹

These photos are just some of the things we created together. Boards, coasters, keychains, journals, corks, trays, card holders, and more. I can’t share all the photos just yet because many of them are gifts and just a tad too specific to be posting. Hehe. 🙃

Happy Happy 33rd Birthday to my favorite human ever! You are deserving of all the goodness this world has to offer! ✨

I feel so grateful to have celebrated 15 of your birthdays with you, time really flies. It has been such an honor and privilege to live and experience this big beautiful life with you. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for me, I truly am such a lucky girl.
