On our walk last night I explained to Balin the significance of this day for our country and I realized quickly that he is part of a generation who will be taught about the events on 9•11 as a part of history. I was reminded that he was not around for the horrors that ensued 18 years ago. I think it is important that we speak with our children about the evils that caused our great nation to realize we are not impervious to pain and tragedy and more importantly, share with them the message of hope and bravery. Tell them about how this day brought our nation to stand as one. I was proud to tell him about all the men and woman who stepped up on this day and those who continue to volunteer in order to protect our country. Glorify good to this next generation and help spread the message of heroism, pride, and love.

Ok so here it is...My friend Sierra and I are opening The Locals Store in Puyallup! It’s an awesome dream come true and we are so excited! Please check out our page and like us on Facebook and Instagram. Our store is an amazing collection of artists and local breweries and vineyards all coming together creating a wonderful sense of community. So Balin had the choice of dressing like either an artist or musician at school. He grabbed his “play” clothes and started painting random marks on them. Then he put paint on his neck, arms, legs, hands, and even some in his hair. He looked at me and said “now I look like you do mommy.” I have never been so proud to look like a hot mess on a regular basis! Thanks for always being one of my biggest fans baby!

Alright folks today marked the day I moved out of Inta Vintage...the store that gave me my first space to display my furniture. The store gave me an opportunity to discover how much I love and my talent of restoring and creating wonderful works of art on furniture and other pieces. I have learned such a great deal from this space and met so many good people! God works in mysterious ways! Through my first venture I have discovered a new and awesome opportunity and made new and amazing friendships that have formed partnerships. Please look for something BIG....HUGE...EXCITING coming in June to the Puyallup area! Watch out folks it’s going to be epic!
