Our July meeting is coming up on Thursday, the 21st from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Island Lutheran Church, 4400 Main Street, Hilton Head Island. Social hour and set up begin at noon. Our speaker is Sharon Huffstetler. She is the owner of Vintage Reflections, an antique shop in Camden, SC.

Her program is entitled "History of the American Sewing Machine". The program will cover the earliest conceptions of the sewing machine in America and the men that brought them to life. Sharon will discuss what happened behind the scenes (including the drama!) and how that got us to the sewing machines we know and love today. After the presentation, everyone is invited up to see machines from 1858 to the 1960s. We'll even be able to sew a few stitches on a hand crank sewing machine from 1881!

Check out her website vintagereflections.net.
