In times of rupture, there is no better way than learning from the resilience of indigenous communities.

Weaving, is one of those practices that survived colonization, displacement, cultural erasion & fragmentation.

We are asked to remember how these communities have found ways to carry memory, identity & beauty
through generations of upheaval.

That's what I hope this space holds!

Sharing the beauty of this handwoven Middle Eastern rug with a local, woman owned cafe.

With over 15 years of experience as a dentist drilling teeth daily, my confidence crashed this morning soon after my attempt to DIY hanging this rug ...
