Yesterday on a family trip to London, my son turned to me and whispered “I can’t wait to get home… my room is the best!”
And this is why I take so long to deliberate over every little detail - because not only do the little things matter to me, ultimately they matter the most to him.

My son’s cosy cabin bedroom is finally complete 🤎

Do you believe in the magic of Christmas? It’s no secret that I LOVE Christmas, so for me the magic is very real. And every year, this sets the tone for our holiday - decorating the tree. With years of accumulated bits and bobs; a telephone box here, a flying Santa there, woolly jumpers and candy canes. And this year, twice as many lights. And bows, can’t forget the bows! Happy festive Friday to you all!

And with that, November comes to a close. What a magical month we have had; from spooky celebrations in Boston, to Thanksgiving spent with family and friends around this table. Another chapter closes as we say goodbye to my family home for the last time. But tomorrow is December, and with so much to look forward to it only seems fitting for the celebrations to continue… Bring on the festivities! 🎅🏻🎄✨

ad| Only a couple of weeks until one of my favourite holidays of the year, Thanksgiving! I am starting to fill the house with seasonal fruits and flowers, and buying the last ingredients for our long-awaited pies and much-loved autumnal dishes. Adopting new traditions and adding to our childhood British festivities is what makes this season uniquely “ours.”
This handmade ceramic pedestal from our friends at has breathed life into this new corner of our kitchen, and is going to be a treasured piece we use year after year. Do you have any special items that it just wouldn’t be “the holidays” without?

Did you know this is the last weekend of summer?! For me, a relaxing weekend awaits (starting here, a view I haven’t shown in a while!) It’s feeling more and more autumnal by the day with kids back at school and the frosty mornings, and I can’t say I’m mad at that! The best days here are snuggled up under a blanket with a hot coffee and a good movie. What are you doing this final summer weekend of 2024?
