Sadly we did not make it back to the Bigfoot Festival today. We had a great 2 days but with the storm coming last night and our canopy.leaking all over the product and our 3d printer Silas made the decision to call it and not risk it.

Everyone was so nice to him and he had so much fun talking shop to other printers at the festival as well as curious attendees. That's where he shines.

Stay tuned as we look for more shows this fall and winter!

I added descriptions to some photos. This was so amazing. I did worry that among these big names Silas may be left out as the young kid with some printers that got Alot of votes because we tried..... I was so wrong.... They treated him like he belonged there.. not just belonged. They lifted him up!

I won't get the quote perfectly.... During Congressman Moore's delivery "about the contest , those are a lot of cool things but in my opinion the coolest thing here is that young man, Silas Young, and the things he's doing"..... The entire room broke out in applause and turned to Silas... How unreal of a day this boy had... He didn't take first.... But he won! Everyone made his day! President of WVMA Bill was gracious and welcoming, Jennifer Piercy went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and introduced. Kim was wonderful! Our guide through the lab Jules and later with Matt Gorsuch, who ate lunch with us...of course Riley Moore and his staff.. Anthony, there were many others.. dad is bad with names....

They were all just so.... Nice. I know everyone is nice to a kid but they were nice in a way that... Wasn't because he was a kid. They were so genuine! It's a.dsy he will remember forever.

And Blue Ridge CTC... I've never seen anything like it in my life. What these students get to experience and what they are preparing for. It's absolutely astounding!!

We talked and planned on the 4 hour drive home, reinvigorated and couldn't wait to load up the print farm tonight.

Thank you everyone who voted for Silas, and thank you to the WVMA for welcoming him as a peer!

Silas blessed to be in the company of Industry leaders, awesome manufacturers, and amazing people. Never would he imagine his name being read alongside these companies and it's all because of your support. I cannot thank you enough!
